Greenamyre Rentals recently added two new tenants to its portfolio, filling the remaining vacancies at The Abernathy Building and The O’Donnell Building. CGI and Serrano IT Services, both supporting Ft. Leavenworth, moved into their respective spaces this month. CGI is new to the Leavenworth area and will occupy 2450 sq. ft. Serrano IT Services relocated from another downtown location into 1475 sq. ft.

"Local Landlord goes Smoke Free”

Greenamyre Rentals announced today that they are transitioning all of their residential property to non-smoking units. “The effects of smoking on our non-smoking tenants and on our rental units are obvious. We feel this policy shift is the best move for tenant recruitment and will save us considerable time and effort getting the smoking units back to ‘rent ready’ condition,” said Jeremy Greenamyre, Vice President. Industry research indicates the cost to restore smoking units to rentable condition is around triple the cost of a non-smoking unit.

“The non-smoking trend is finally making its way into the housing sector,” said Greenamyre “and we’re more than happy to embrace this trend.” Their non-smoking policy is set to take effect January 1, 2012, and will apply to all new tenants. Existing smoking units will be converted to non-smoking upon tenant move-out.

The Federal and State government already prohibit smoking in all of their office buildings and a number of public housing developments have already gone smoke-free. The State of Kansas enacted a statewide ban in July 10, 2010 on all enclosed, indoor workplaces.

You’ll benefit 10% for a 6 month or more lease, and 20% for a one year lease. For example, if you refer us a tenant that signs a lease for 6 months or more, and the rent is $1000, you'll receive $100 off your next months rent. If their lease is for a full year, you’ll get $200 off your next month's rent.

Lansing to Welcome Jimmy Johns

Greenamyre Rentals to develop Main Gate Office Park

Greenamyre Rentals recently purchased the old Pizza Hut building at 7th & Metropolitan to redevelop as an office park. Preliminary site plans indicate up to 30,000 sq. ft. of office space is possible. The 1.9 acres development will feature two buildings (20,000 and 10,000) and will have a campus feel. The location, at the entrance to Ft. Leavenworth, is unbeatable. The first 4300 sq. ft. is under lease and is expected to be occupied by July 2009. Construction of North 7th St. Office Building Started

Greenamyre Rentals’ most recent commercial venture is out of the ground. The 3400 sq. ft. office/professional building at N. 7th St. & Pawnee St. is slated for completion in late-Spring 2009.
